A NOVEL APPROACH FOR COMPRESSION OF ENCRYPTED GRAYSCALE IMAGES USING HUFFMAN CODING
AbstractAbstract:- The field of image compression and encryption is growing up these days as the channels are being more involved with the world-wide web. To have the credit of any image transferred over the web, you need to decrease its size using an efficient compression algorithm such as Huffman coding. As well as encrypting it using some standard encryption algorithm, which has mainly an acceptable security level and a high-speed algorithm such as Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) algorithm. We have proposed a solution, which mainly addresses the problem of compressing and encrypting gray-scale images in acceptable time by utilizing Huffman Coding compression with our novel filter and encrypt there output using AES encryption algorithm has been applied; which is mainly used to encrypt text, moreover different thresholds with different block sizes have been applied.
