STRENGTHENING CORRODED BEAMS IN FLEXURE USING EPOXY BONDING
AbstractAbstract:- Fibre Reinforced Polymer as an external reinforcement may be applied for strengthening beams, columns, slabs and masonry walls. Application of FRP for strengthening corrosion damaged beams is a viable technique for improving their strength and post- yield load deflection characteristics. Many techniques exist for repair and rehabilitation of corroded reinforced concrete structures, Fibre Reinforced Polymer (FRP) composite materials have been successfully used in new construction and for repair and rehabilitation of existing structures.
