Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming modern defense systems by enhancing military strategy, operational efficiency, and decision-making capabilities. The integration of advanced technologies such as machine learning, autonomous systems, and data analytics enables armed forces to process large volumes of information with greater speed and accuracy. AI-driven systems improve situational awareness, surveillance, and combat effectiveness while reducing human intervention in high-risk operations. These advancements contribute to smarter, faster, and more adaptive defense mechanisms. However, the widespread adoption of AI also introduces critical challenges, including ethical concerns surrounding autonomous weapons and accountability. Cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities to adversarial attacks further complicate its deployment. Additionally, governance, transparency, and data bias issues must be carefully addressed. Therefore, a balanced and responsible approach is essential for leveraging AI in defense systems.
