MOLECULAR BIOLOGY AND EMERGING BIOMEDICAL TECHNOLOGIES
Abstract
Abstract: Molecular biology has emerged as a central discipline in modern biomedical science because it provides a detailed understanding of biological processes at the level of DNA, RNA, proteins, and cellular signaling. Advances in molecular biology have enabled researchers to identify disease-associated genetic alterations, understand molecular mechanisms of disease, and develop more precise diagnostic and therapeutic approaches. In recent years, emerging technologies such as CRISPR-Cas genome editing, next-generation sequencing, single-cell analysis, synthetic biology, organoid technology, RNA-based therapeutics, and artificial intelligence have substantially expanded the capabilities of biomedical research. These technologies are contributing to personalized medicine, early disease detection, drug discovery, regenerative medicine, and targeted therapy. However, challenges related to accuracy, safety, ethical considerations, data privacy, cost, and equitable access remain significant. This research paper reviews the major developments in molecular biology and examines how emerging biomedical technologies are transforming contemporary healthcare and biomedical research. Keywords: Molecular Biology, Genomics, CRISPR-Cas9, Next-Generation Sequencing, Single-Cell Biology, Synthetic Biology, Organoids, RNA Therapeutics, Precision Medicine, Biomedical Technology
