FINANCIAL TECHNOLOGY (FINTECH) AND DIGITAL BANKING INNOVATIONS
Abstract
Abstract: Financial Technology (FinTech) has emerged as a major force transforming the global financial services industry. Rapid developments in artificial intelligence, blockchain, cloud computing, big data analytics, biometric authentication, application programming interfaces, and mobile technologies have enabled financial institutions to provide faster, more accessible, personalized, and cost-effective services. Digital banking has evolved from traditional internet banking into an integrated ecosystem involving mobile banking applications, digital payments, open banking, neobanks, automated financial advisory services, and embedded finance. This research paper examines the evolution, major technologies, applications, benefits, challenges, and future prospects of FinTech and digital banking innovations. The study uses a descriptive and analytical research approach based on secondary information from academic literature, industry reports, and institutional publications. The paper also compares traditional banking, digital banking, and FinTech-driven financial services. The findings indicate that FinTech innovations can improve operational efficiency, financial inclusion, customer experience, and access to financial services. However, cybersecurity, data privacy, regulatory uncertainty, digital fraud, technological dependency, and financial literacy remain important challenges. The study concludes that collaboration between banks, FinTech companies, regulators, and technology providers will be essential for building a secure, inclusive, and sustainable digital financial ecosystem. Keywords: FinTech, Digital Banking, Financial Innovation, Digital Payments, Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, Open Banking, Cybersecurity, Financial Inclusion, Neobanks
