ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE IN EDUCATION: ENHANCING TEACHING AND PERSONALIZED LEARNING
Abstract
Abstract: Artificial Intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming the education sector by introducing intelligent technologies that support teaching, learning, assessment, administration, and educational decision-making. AI-based educational tools can analyze learners’ academic performance, identify individual learning needs, provide personalized content, automate routine teaching tasks, and offer immediate feedback. Personalized learning enabled by AI allows students to learn according to their individual pace, abilities, interests, and learning requirements. At the same time, teachers can use AI-driven analytics to monitor student progress and design more effective instructional strategies. This paper examines the role of Artificial Intelligence in education, with particular emphasis on teaching enhancement and personalized learning. It discusses major applications of AI, including intelligent tutoring systems, adaptive learning platforms, automated assessment, AI-powered virtual assistants, learning analytics, and content generation. The paper also highlights the benefits of AI integration, such as improved learning outcomes, increased accessibility, teacher support, and efficient educational management. However, challenges related to data privacy, algorithmic bias, digital inequality, ethical concerns, academic integrity, and teacher preparedness remain significant. The study concludes that AI should complement rather than replace teachers and that responsible implementation, human oversight, digital infrastructure, and appropriate policy frameworks are essential for achieving sustainable AI-enabled education.
