Abstract

The IoT-based Forest Guardian project presents a comprehensive system designed to monitor, analyze, and prevent potential hazards in forest ecosystems. The system integrates multiple sensors and IoT technology to address three crucial aspects: forest fire detection, drought prediction via soil moisture analysis, and prevention of animal intrusion. Utilizing an ESP8266 Controller, Soil Moisture sensor, Flame Sensor and an Ultrasonic distance sensor and an intuitive IoT-based Wi-Fi modules, our system integrates multiple sensors and IoT technology to address three crucial aspects: forest fire detection through flame sensor, drought prediction via soil moisture analysis, and prevention of animal intrusion using ultrasonic distance sensor The forest fire detection module utilizes a network of temperature, humidity, and smoke sensors strategically deployed throughout the forest. Real-time data collection enables the system to promptly identify unusual temperature spikes, significant changes in humidity, and the presence of smoke, triggering immediate alerts to prevent and mitigate potential fire outbreaks.
