DUAL ACCESS CONTROL FOR CLOUD BASED DATA STORAGE AND SHARING
Abstract
In recent years, there has been a growing interest in cloud-based data storage services from both academia and industry due to their efficient and cost-effective management. With the provision of services in open networks, ensuring data confidentiality and user privacy has become a pressing concern for service providers. Encryption is commonly employed as a method to safeguard sensitive data; however, it alone is insufficient to meet the practical requirements of data management. Additionally, effective access control over download requests must be implemented to prevent Economic Denial of Sustainability (EDoS) attacks, ensuring uninterrupted service for users. This paper addresses the need for dual access control mechanisms in cloud-based storage, managing both data access and download requests without compromising security or efficiency. Two such systems are proposed, each tailored to specific settings, along with security and experimental analyses. Keywords: ABAC, RBAC, EDoS, Comparative Analysis, CP-ABE.
