Abstract

Abstract - Safeguarding crops from harm brought about by wild animals is a central worry for ranchers internationally. In response, a sophisticated solution leveraging modern technology emerges. By integrating Raspberry Pi, a versatile microcomputer, with a web camera, real-time surveillance of crop fields becomes possible. The Raspberry Pi processes video feed, detecting intruding animals using machine learning algorithms. Upon detection, GSM technology sends immediate alerts to the farmer's mobile device. Additionally, an LCD display equipped with a mini speaker provides on-site alerts, enhancing response time. This integrated system offers farmers a proactive approach to safeguarding their crops, minimizing losses, and maximizing yields. With the fusion of these technologies, farmers can efficiently manage crop protection, fostering sustainable agriculture practices and securing livelihoods Keywords: Raspberry Pi.
