Abstract

Plant protection is one of the crucial issues in organic farming. Organic crop protection (OCP) strategies frequently rely on a countable number of methods that provide only partial control of pests and that persuade lower yields and economic performances. As out-turn, farmers hesitate to adopt these strategies and confusion are cast on the ability of organic agriculture to feed the world. An integrated approach to farming as compared to existing monoculture approaches. It refers to agricultural systems that integrate livestock and crop production. This paper aims to explore the linking process between a niche and the regime in the context of an emergent transition, using the concepts of organic farming integrated with Small area fish farming. Keywords: OCP, Monoculture, Transition, Integrated Farming etc.
