“APPLICATION OF AGNIHOTRA ASH AS AN INNOVATIVE THERAPY IN MODERN SCIENCE”

Abstract

Agnihotra, the simplest form of ‘Yajnya/Homa’ performed in numerous countries each over the world. Although it’s an ancient fire ritual, but also grounded on the scientific aspects. It invokes daylight and evening timings, when infrared radiations are produced from the sun, the burning of cow ghee, dried cow dung cake, raw rice in the pyramidal shaped copper pot with the chanting of mantras about Sun ( Surya) and fire( Agni). It's well known that far infrared radiations of sun and that of Agnihotra reverberate to induce a huge quantum of vital energy useful for life processes. The smothers and ash of Agnihotra are useful to purify water and air, meliorate husbandry, reduces the pathogenicity of microorganisms and help to ameliorate the health of living beings.
